DEVON "THE GREATEST" LEE
8 (7 KO) - 0 - 0
Los Angeles, CA
Devon “The Greatest” Lee was born on December 1, 1994 in West Covina, California and was raised in Sacramento. From a young age, Lee was faced with difficult obstacles and growing up homeless and learned in the end that he had to take care of himself. This further instilled the drive and passion that he has today to succeed, not only in the sport of boxing but in life.
Lee was introduced to boxing at the age of 16 by his brother Maurice Lee, a professional fighter who is currently signed with Mayweather Promotions. Prior to that, Lee didn’t know much about the sport and didn’t start training seriously until the age of 17. Lee held a very short amateur career with a record of 12-1 before setting his sights on the professional boxing world. Lee made his pro debut on July 16, 2016 against Jason Thompson in Phoenix, AZ. He took home the first win of his career by way of TKO. Lee continued on to win his next five fights by KO and currently holds a professional record of 8-0 with 7 KO’s.
Lee is a dedicated athlete and has sparred with many champions and great fighters in the ring, ultimately preparing himself to take his skills to the next level. As a fighter, Lee looks up to the dedication and commitment of Floyd Mayweather, the fighting mentality of Mike Tyson, and of course, the greatest of all time - Mohammad Ali - of which his own nickname is inspired by. Originally, Lee had called himself “That Guy”. On June 3, 2016, he was set to make his pro debut but his opponent pulled out of the fight. That day Mohammad Ali passed away and Lee felt as if it was a passing of the torch. Prior to that, Lee had never thought to call himself “The Greatest”, but since then it has played a significant role in his pursuit of becoming a 3-4 time world champion.
Lee has knocked down anyone and anything that has stood in his way to create a brighter future for him and his family. He keeps himself motivated by dedicating himself to his family and God. Lee is driven by the opportunity that boxing presents itself as a platform to do good in the world. As he continues in his career, he wants to make known that his ultimate goal is to inspire people to keep going and to share his Christian faith with others.
Lee currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with his fiancé and two children.
